SoundLass is the project which I created to encourage people to think more consciously about gender equality within the music industry. I started by running a Women In Music live event showcasing women working in various different roles across the music industry, and since the project has grown into a social media campaign and podcast series which I have developed myself over the past two years.

I have worked as a Freelance Live Sound Technician in the North-East of England since May 2018. I have worked a range of live events such as; Weddings, Conferences, Gigs, Music Festivals and everything in-between. Within Live Sound I have had many responsibilities including Front Of House and Monitor Engineering, Stage Crew and Backline Technician Roles.
The live events industry is something I’m very passionate about and I have been working consistently to improve my skills. I have attended training days and courses ran by AdLib, DiGiCo, d&b AudioTechnik and Guerrilla Mixing to improve my knowledge across the sector.

At Sainsbury’s, I was a Checkouts Assistant where I would operate a shopping till and stay on top of customer flow. In this role I learned the basics of customer service, as well as the importance of team work.
